Year 2 Teaching Assistant

to join our team in Ellesmere Port.

This role offers the perfect balance: five mornings and three afternoons per week (one of which is Wednesday). The other two afternoons are flexible, so we can work around you.

5 mornings + 3 afternoons (Wednesday fixed, 2 flexible)

Contract:

Term-time only (optional paid holiday club work available)

Pay:

Competitive, based on experience

About the Role

You'll be supporting a Year 2 class, helping to inspire curiosity, confidence and kindness every day.
This role is ideal for someone who loves seeing children grow both academically and emotionally.

You will:

Support learning and group activities under the class teacher's guidance Help create a calm, engaging classroom environment Encourage independence and confidence in each pupil Provide small-group or 1:1 support when needed Be part of a warm, collaborative team that genuinely cares about your development

About You

Patient, reliable, and passionate about working with children Confident supporting pupils with varying needs Adaptable, positive, and willing to learn Experience in education or childcare (desirable but not essential - full training provided) DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
