Lockyer's Middle School is looking for a Teaching Assistant G5 to join our fantastic team. Could this be you?


Actual Salary 16,418 - 16,678 per annum per annum (Grade 5)


This job isfor 28.33 hours per week and 38 weeks per year.


It is offered on a Temporary basis until 31st August 2026


Approximate start date 23/02/2026.


We are seeking two inspiring and committed Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team. The successful candidates will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality learning experience for our students.


This is a fixed-term contract until 31st August 2026, although there may be a future opportunity for this role to be considered for a permanent position.


We are looking for enthusiastic, skilled, and motivated professionals who hold high expectations for student behaviour and achievement. The ideal candidates will be positive, flexible, and nurturing, with a proven ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.


This varied and rewarding role involves supporting teachers in the classroom and providing targeted small-group or one-to-one support across Years 5 to 8. If you are a creative team player eager to learn and adapt to the diverse needs of our students, we offer excellent professional development opportunities and a chance to make a valued contribution to our school community.

Can inspire and engage children. Is proactive and able to use their initiative to personalize and adapt support for individuals and small groups. Lockyer's Middle School is part of a successful pyramid of first, middle and upper schools in the Corfe Mullen area and is part of Initio Learning Trust. Our children join us in Year 5, aged 9 and make the important transition from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 3, before moving to upper school at the end of Year 8, aged 13.
