The Role


We seek to appoint a committed and dynamic Teaching Assistant to work with specific children throughout the whole school. Our teaching and support staff work hard and enthusiastically as one team with the belief that every student can succeed and transform their life chances, achieving more than they dreamt possible. You will be able to enthuse and motivate our students with your passion for learning, your presence and personality.



Part of the roles and responsibilities for these positions will involving leading on literacy and numeracy interventions as part of our inclusion provision; The Achievement Centre. Therefore, we would welcome applications with expertise in literacy and/or numeracy which would be an advantage but not essential.



The successful candidate will be required to provide academic, emotional and social support to young people to help them overcome barriers to learning, ensuring that individual pupils engage more effectively in learning and participating in the life of the school. Candidates will have the ability to identify specific barriers and implement a range of strategies to support both basic skills and access to the curriculum under the guidance of the SEN Department.
