Teaching Assistant


Contract: Permanent, part-time - 23 hours per week/ 38 weeks per year.


Salary: NJC Scale 2, SP 3-4 (fte 24.795 - 25,185 /Actual 12,888 - 13,090 per annum)


Start date: January 2026


Steeple Bumpstead Primary School is a friendly one-form entry primary school located close to Haverhill and part of the Unity Schools Partnership.


We are seeking an excellent teaching assistant to join our team.


The post will be a mixture of general classroom support and support for individual children based in key stage 2 in the first instance. The post will be working 5 mornings and across lunchtime 8.30am until 1.05pm.


We are looking for someone who:

is calm, positive and patient will support our trauma informed schools approach is passionate about supporting every child to achieve has the interpersonal skills to develop positive and supportive relationships with children, colleagues and parents is able to use their own initiative and can 'think on their feet' is efficient and organised has experience working with children with special educational needs
