Permanent Contract, Term Time plus One Week


9-1pm Monday - Friday (20 hours per week)


Salary; SCP4 25,185 - SCP6 25,989 FTE per annum


Pro-Rata - 11,705 - 12,298 per annum

We are very excited to announce that Ghost Hill Infant and Nursery School are looking for a Teaching Assistant. The role will be in Year 2 initially with a particular focus on supporting a child with complex needs and working closely with other members of the class staff team. Ghost Hill Infant and Nursery School has been graded

THE ROLE



The main purpose of the role is to work within a class and year group team providing support for children who need close supervision and nurture. This will also include supporting teaching and learning and providing general and specific assistance to pupils and staff under the direction, guidance and direct supervision of the classroom teacher. The role will also cover supporting children throughout their lunch break.

We are ideally looking for someone who has some experience of being a Teaching Assistant and who has a good knowledge of working with children with SEND.



The successful candidates will:


Have GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 (previously Grade C) in English and Mathematics, previous experience working with children, preferably primary school age, in a classroom or similar environment and have Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent Teaching Assistant qualification. Be committed to the school&s high standards of teaching, learning and professional development. Have excellent communication skills, a warm and caring personality, and a good sense of humour. Be personable and a team player. Have experience of working with children with SEND. Understand the importance of an inclusive environment and high expectations on pupil behaviour. Have a welcoming and friendly approach with a high level of professionalism. Ensure the safety and well-being of pupils in adherence with the school procedures while in play areas, the dining hall, classrooms or anywhere on the school site.
