Teaching Assistant
to work 1:1 with a child in Year 3.
As our Teaching Assistant, you will:
be positive and motivated
be adaptable and show initiative where needed
share the school's vision and ethos
have a strong subject knowledge with relation to the primary curriculum, in particular, Maths and English
have GCSE English and Maths at grade C level 4 or above (or equivalent).
We are looking for someone with:
experience of working with children with social, emotional, mental health needs
experience of working with children with specific learning difficulties e.g. dyslexia
the ability to work in a team
experience using a range of technology including Microsoft Teams
the ability to take the initiative and adapt work to the child or situation
the ability to work both in the classroom and out of the classroom
an understanding that children's behaviour is a form of communication and that unacceptable behaviour has a root cause
the ability to unpick unacceptable behaviour to identify triggers
the resilience to work with children with complex needs.
