We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will primarily support teachers in delivering high-quality education and provide targeted assistance to students across a range of subjects and abilities.



We are looking some a person who can:



Work across the whole school (Nursery to Year 6)

Work closely with teaching staff to support learning of small groups or individuals with a range of needs to ensure positive outcomes for all

Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment

Assist with classroom resources & lesson preparation materials

Assist in the presentation of display materials

Contribute to the management of children's behaviour, both in the classroom and on the playground, as required

Be an effective role model for children's behaviour

Contribute to the health and well-being of our children

Assist in the maintenance of a safe environment for children and staff

Recognise and work to confidentiality, Child Protection procedures, Health and Safety, and all the school's policies

Support teaching staff or senior colleagues with routine administration

Contribute to the maintenance of children's safety and security

Provide lunch cover duties

Be involved in extracurricular activities (e.g. clubs, activities, trips, open days, presentation evenings)

Assist with special activities in the school within school hours

(e.g. sports days, plays, concerts, open days)

Work in collaboration with the Headteacher to help make Jarvis Brook School the very best it can be!


Requirements:



Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Previous experience working with children or young people (preferred)

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for education

Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate) desirable but not essential
