About the Role:
You will support students across
Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
, both in and out of the classroom, helping to create a positive and productive learning environment. Your role will involve working alongside class teachers to deliver tailored support, promote student engagement, and assist with academic and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support in core subjects
Assist students with SEN and those needing additional learning support
Help manage behaviour and maintain a calm, inclusive classroom atmosphere
Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff to support student progress
Adapt resources and learning strategies to meet individual needs
What We're Looking For:
A genuine interest in working with young people in an educational setting
Strong communication skills and a proactive, supportive approach
The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
Experience working with young people (in schools, youth work, tutoring, or similar) is desirable
A calm and patient manner, particularly when supporting students with SEMH or SEN needs
Ideal Candidates May Have:
A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (not essential)
Previous school-based experience
Experience supporting students with Autism, ADHD, or other additional needs
