About the role:



The key role of a Learning Support is to help support the delivery of quality learning and support and create a safe and caring environment to enable young people to grow, develop and thrive. Through engaging, nurturing and bespoke approaches to learning, we provide our young people with fulfilling and meaningful experiences that prepare them for the next steps in their education and skills for life. You will support the Learning Lead/ Learning Mentor to deliver our bespoke learning and therapeutic programmes and manage the learning environment both within our Hubs and out in the community.

Key Responsibilities:



Uphold our core values of connection, creativity and care. Establish positive relationships with young people, and staff alike, and model and reinforce positive pro-social values for young people. Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance with the company's safeguarding and child protection policy. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for young people, encouraging their social integration and promoting positive relationships with others. Support the planning, delivery and review of a high-quality inclusive service to young people accessing our services. Supervise and ensure the safety and access to a range of learning activities, adjusting activities according to the young person's response. Develop an inclusive understanding of the young person's needs including strengths, interests, needs and barriers to learning. Ensure the needs and capabilities of the young people in our care are met. Support the Reflect and Repair philosophy of the company with young people and
colleagues.

Promote inclusion and acceptance and respect of all students. Provide transportation for the young people, including collection and drop offs before and after each session, as agreed with the Directors. Work in collaboration with parents, carers and other key stakeholders to ensure the young person's needs are met fully. Undertake appropriate and relevant training. Maintain understanding and awareness of, and comply with, policies and procedures relating to child protection, safeguarding, health safety and security, confidentiality and data protections and reporting all concerns to an appropriate person. Maintain accurate records and regularly report back to Learning Leads, and Directors. Undertaking general administrative support. Maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and ethical conduct in all
interactions with young people, staff, carers, stakeholders and the public.

Attending relevant meetings as required. To undertake other such duties of a similar level of responsibility and within the spirit of the post as may be directed by the Directors.
