The Governing Body at Springside Special School are seeking to appoint 1 suitably qualified, enthusiastic and experienced individuals into the role of
Temporary Teaching Assistant Level 1 (+)
.
The successful candidates will be working directly with pupils with complex additional educational needs, across all phases of our school; Nursery Year 6. Successful candidates will be expected to work across any of the Springside sites, as required.
Applicants must have a passion for meeting the holistic needs of learners with SEND and support the inclusion agenda. Applicants must be motivated, resilient practitioners, with a growth mindset who place learners at the heart of what they do, always seeking to develop their practice and strive to ensure the best possible outcomes for all in our community.
We believe in supporting our learners to be independent, to enjoy every element of their lives, to achieve more than they can imagine. We work with our learners to be as independent as they can be to ensure they have a feeling of self-worth.
We have a professional learning culture in which we utilise the latest research, experience of our existing excellent staff, internal and external CPDL to ensure we are constantly reflecting on our practice and enhancing our provision. We support our staff to seek to develop themselves on an ongoing basis.
Applicants must possess or be willing to work towards GCSE English and Maths at grade A- C, or GCSE level 4 -9, or GCSE level 4-9 or a level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy or CSE Grade 1 in English and Maths.
Applicants must also possess or be willing to work towards a Level 2 qualification QCF (or NVQ prior to 2010) in Teaching and Learning.
