Teaching Assistant Level 2 1:1



We are seeking a dedicated Level 2 teaching assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and creating a nurturing learning environment.

Job Type: Full-time, Fixed Term for the academic Year 2025 - 2026.

The funding for the post will then be reviewed by the LA SEND 31.25 hours per week (8:30am until 3:15pm, Monday to Friday)

Pay: Level 2 NJC SCP (1-3 ) 24,413 to 24,796 per annum pro- rata

(13,190 to 13,397 per annum actual salary)

Are you a passionate and qualified Teaching Assistant with a Level 2 qualification, looking for an exciting opportunity? We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community and make a difference in children's lives.

The role is to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with ADHD. The successful candidate would need to demonstrate good behaviour management techniques and be confident in providing interventions to support the child to catch up and keep up.

Provide 1:1 support to a child with ADHD.

Deliver Interventions to support the child socially and academically.

Promote independence, inclusion and self-advocacy for the child in the school setting.

Liaise with school staff, external agencies and parents to ensure the best outcomes for the child, always maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Contribute to positive relationships with children and adults through communication and interaction and encourage positive behaviour.

Monitor student progress and report to the class teacher, contributing to lesson planning and assessments.

Support access to the curriculum through modification of learning under the direction of the teaching staff.

Support children's development (e.g. physical, emotional, social, communication and intellectual development needs)

Use information and communication technology to support pupils' learning.

Encourage children's positive behaviour.

Help to keep all children safe, including maintaining a safe environment, dealing with accidents, supporting safeguarding.

Requirements:



A Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent). Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively. A passion for supporting children's educational growth and well-being. Patience, empathy, and an ability to adapt to various learning needs. Good organisational skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.

You will be expected to follow and promote the procedures in the child protection and safeguarding policy and report any concerns in accordance with agreed procedures. If your own conduct in relation to the safeguarding of children and young people gives cause for concern the Trust's child protection procedures will be followed alongside implementation of the Trust disciplinary procedures. This post will require online checks to be undertaken and an enhanced DBS check, as well as medical clearance.
