We are seeking a talented and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will work alongside passionate teachers, providing vital support to our pupils.
About the role:
Initial contract: Temporary, with the potential to become permanent.
Responsibilities: Supporting pupils with EHCPs, working with individuals and small groups, and assisting within whole classes to enhance learning outcomes.
Requirements:
Qualifications: Minimum Grade C in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
Experience: Proven experience in nurture and behaviour management in a primary school setting.
Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to engage and motivate children, and a commitment to being an integral part of our school community.
Key Responsibilities:
Working 1:1 or with small groups
Apply knowledge of various intervention programmes, including phonics
Foster a positive learning environment that boost achievement, independence and self-esteem
We are looking for someone who:
Has strong subject knowledge in English and Maths
Can support high-quality learning experiences for all pupils including those with special education needs.
Understands safeguarding practices
Is calm, patient, and sees the potential in all pupils
Can work independently and collaboratively with other staff members
Can confidently cover for the class teacher when needed (paid at the appropriate rate)
Can engage children in play and structured activities during playtimes and lunchtimes.
Brings a fun personality and good sense of humour.
