We are seeking committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support teaching and learning at Huntington School. This role involves providing support to students aged 11-18 in the classroom and is an ideal role for anyone who wants to make a real difference to the next generation. We have a number of roles available and while we would want individuals to work full days for consistency, we would be happy to consider part time (less than 5 days per week) for the right candidate.

If you are considering this position, then you must have GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above (or equivalent to) as the role will involve supporting students with English/Literacy and Numeracy.

This role requires a confident and resilient person who can deal with students effectively in situations that may require the use of diplomacy and tact; flexibility is also vital in order to meet the demands of a busy school. While full training will be provided, experience of the following would be an advantage:

The ability to motivate and encourage students to develop and achieve in the school environment. To be able to respond to the individual needs of our students and promote the inclusion of all students in the school. Have excellent communication skills, ICT capability and be able to work on your own initiative and also work well in a team
