Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support one of our partner schools by providing high-quality instruction and care to learners, particularly those with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with autism and other disabilities, fostering an inclusive environment that promotes learning and development.

Responsibilities

Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to the needs of each child. Provide one-on-one support to students, particularly those with autism or other disabilities, ensuring they are engaged and participating in classroom activities. Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents to promote a collaborative learning environment. Support children during playtime and other activities, ensuring their safety and well-being. Help manage classroom behaviour by implementing positive reinforcement strategies. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate observations to the lead teacher. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in special education and child development.

Qualifications

Must have a DBS on the update service Must have L3 TA Qualification Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs or disabilities, is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children of diverse abilities. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required. Knowledge of strategies for supporting individuals with autism and other disabilities is an advantage.

Pay: 100.00-110.00 per day
