Teaching Assistant Level 3

Grade E, 13,253 - 14,157 - depending upon length of service

Part Time - 21 hours per week over 3 days (term time only)

Permanent contract



Required from September (or sooner if possible). The Governors and Head Teacher of Fellside Community Primary School are looking to appoint a motivated, caring, suitably experienced Teaching Assistant to work across KS1 and KS2. We are seeking a skilled, inspiring practitioner who will demonstrate excellent practice and who would be committed to raising standards in our happy and hardworking school. The successful candidate will


Hold a recognised NVQ level 3 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent; Demonstrate excellent classroom practice that reflects our ethos of Ambition For All; Possess proficient literacy and mathematics skills; Have knowledge of the national curriculum and have recent experience of working in the primary phases; Hold a current and relevant first-aid qualification (or be willing to work towards achieving this); Be able to use ICT effectively to support learning Have an understanding of the barriers to education for some children, including neurodivergent conditions, and be willing to learn how to support all children in a child-centred way. Be willing to lead intervention groups, primarily based around reading, writing and well-being.

Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year, they are subject to an equated salary adjustment.
