The Governors of St Bridget's Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teaching Assistant Level 3 from early January 2026, this is a fixed term contract until August 2026, working 20 hours a week, term time only, plus inset days.
Main Purpose
To work within the EYFS team supervising individuals and groups of children under the direction/instruction of teaching &/or senior staff, inclusive of specific individual learning needs, enabling access to learning for all pupils and assistance and support in classroom management and behaviour techniques and providing specialist support in a specific curricula/resource area, through a supportive and Christian approach which is in keeping with our school mission statement and Catholic ethos.
We are looking for someone who will:
Fully support the Catholic ethos of our school.
Has a nurturing, enthusiastic manner with excellent communication skills
Is positive, calm, and committed to helping children achieve their best
Demonstrates effective behaviour management and a caring approach
Works well as part of a collaborative and flexible team Holds a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
Preferably has experience supporting children with SEND
Uses initiative while also responding well to direction from the class teacher
Brings a good sense of humour and a positive attitude to school life
