ABOUT THE ROLE - TEACHING ASSISTANT PART TIME.

This is a highly regarded mixed secondary school situated within Kensington. Class sizes are smaller than average. Results at GCSE, AS, and A2 are very good and the School has a fantastic record for Value Added. Pupils often move onto a wide range of respected universities.

The school are recruiting a part-time Teaching Assistant (up to 0.7) to start 4th September or as soon as possible thereafter. It is to support a sixth form pupil who is returning to retake Year 13. The student has a recent diagnosis of autism and is provided with comprehensive support from relevant professionals. The student considered \'a delight to work with\' and is determined to complete his A Level studies with the schools full support. Support would be needed in and out of the classroom whilst the student is on site. The post would suit a professional with experience of working with young people who have a diagnosed SEN and with experience of pastoral care.

Relationships between pupils and staff are excellent and visitors often remark on the family atmosphere of the School. The SEN Faculty is well managed by an experienced SENCO and sufficient support is in place to ensure new staff can settle in quickly and feel completely supported in their roles.
