Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated Mathematics, Science & English Teaching Assitant to inspire and support students in developing their skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning needs, including students with disabilities and those on the autism spectrum. Duties



Design and deliver comprehensive lessons aligned with curriculum standards, ensuring accessibility for all students, including those with special educational needs. Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate students with disabilities and autism, promoting an inclusive classroom environment. Provide personalised tutoring and mentoring to support individual student progress and confidence in mathematics. Collaborate with special education staff, therapists, and parents to develop tailored learning plans. Assess student understanding through regular evaluations and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavioural observations. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with educational best practices.

Qualifications



Proven experience in supporting mathematics at various levels, preferably within inclusive or special education settings. Knowledge of working with children with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. Experience in tutoring or mentoring students to achieve academic success. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, colleagues, and support staff. Familiarity with special education strategies and adaptive teaching techniques is highly desirable. Passion for fostering an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs. Relevant qualifications recognised within the UK education system are ideal.
