Job Description

We are looking to recruit compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our welcoming SEND school in Poole. We cater for pupils aged 5-19 years with a range of needs, including severe and moderate learning difficulties (SLD/MLD), cerebral palsy, physical disabilities, and autism.

About the Role

Support pupils with their learning, personal development, and independence skills. Provide personal care and assistance with daily routines where required. Undertake manual handling tasks to support pupils with physical disabilities. Accompany and support pupils in a range of activities, including sessions in our on-site swimming pool. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

About You

Experience of working with children or young people with SEND is highly desirable. Previous experience working in an education setting Comfortable with manual handling and personal care(training will be provided where necessary). Be confident at swimming as you will be required to support pupils in the onsite swimming pool Patient, resilient, and adaptable, with a positive approach to challenges. Able to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff. A genuine passion for making a difference to the lives of children and young people.
