Tucked away in eight acres of leafy Wilmslow countryside, Pownall Hall School is a place where childhood is celebrated, curiosity is encouraged, and learning comes to life. Teaching Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly passionate Teaching Assistant to join the wonderful Pownall Hall School team! This is a term time only role, with the option to work at Holiday Quest, our own onsite holiday club, during school holidays should you wish.

Salary: 21,475 per annum, for NVQ level 3, Monday-Friday, term time only

Key Responsibilities:

Assist teaching staff in the delivery of learning activities and work programmes and undertake pre-determined activities with pupils so that their intellectual and social development (including self reliance and self-esteem) is fostered Provide input into the planning and evaluation of learning activities for individuals and groups of pupils Supervise activities of individuals or groups of pupils both in and out of the classroom to ensure their safety and facilitate their physical and emotional development in accordance with the school's behaviour management policy Monitor and report on individual pupils' progress and achievements Liaise with parents and carers in conjunction with the teaching staff Attend to the personal, social and physical needs of pupils so that their well-being is maintained Attend staff and other meetings when required and take full and active participation in staff training, development work and staff reviews as required Help to develop programmes of learning activities and adapting appropriate materials
