We are working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Brighton who are seeking a reliable and committed
Teaching Assistant
to join their team on a long-term basis from January.This is a well-run school with clear routines, strong behaviour expectations, and a collaborative staff culture. Teaching Assistants are valued as a core part of the classroom team and are given clear direction and consistent support by class teachers and senior leaders.
The role will involve supporting learning across KS1, working with small groups and individual pupils, and helping to maintain a calm, focused learning environment throughout the school day.
Key responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant role include:
Supporting pupils during whole-class learning activities Working with small groups to reinforce learning Providing additional support for pupils who require it Promoting positive behaviour and engagement Working closely with the class teacher to support lesson delivery
This role would suit someone who:
Has previous experience in a primary school setting Is proactive, patient, and reliable Enjoys working as part of a team Is seeking a consistent, long-term placement
Essential requirements:
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply) Up-to-date safeguarding training
Pay:
89 per day
