The Role
We're seeking a compassionate, proactive
SEND Teaching Assistant
to join our dedicated team. You'll work closely with pupils with a range of needs including autism (verbal and non-verbal), ADHD, and global developmental delay -- supporting learning, communication, and emotional regulation through tailored strategies and sensory-based approaches.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups using visual aids, PECS, sensory play, and structured routines
Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver inclusive, child-centred learning
Promoting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour through consistency, empathy, and clear communication
Helping pupils develop life skills, confidence, and independence in a safe, supportive setting
Contributing to a culture of respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
Experience working with children with SEND, particularly autism and communication needs
A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting diverse learners
Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
A genuine passion for inclusion, child development, and teamwork
Relevant qualifications or training in SEND (desirable but not essential)
