Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Support worker to support educational staff in creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment. The successful candidate will work closely with secondary school children with special educational needs and disabilities, to facilitate their academic and social development in a specialist school. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in education and special needs support, contributing positively to students' growth and well-being.

Duties



Assist teachers in delivering lessons tailored to diverse learning needs, including those with autism and other disabilities Support individualised Learning support plans by implementing specialised activities and strategies Provide mentoring to students requiring additional help Foster a positive classroom atmosphere by encouraging student participation and behaviour management Support students with daily routines, including organisation of materials and classroom setup Communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure consistent support Assist in the supervision of children during breaks, outings, and specialised activities Contribute to the development of personalised learning plans and behavioural strategies

Qualifications



Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is desirable Knowledge of special education principles and working with individuals with disabilities, including autism, is advantageous Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, colleagues, and parents Demonstrated ability to mentor and support children's academic and social needs Compassionate attitude with patience and adaptability in supporting diverse learners Relevant qualifications or training in special education or related fields are preferred but not essential

Salary shown is actual yearly salary paid in 12 month installments, including holiday pay.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 21,000.00-23,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 35 per week
