Vacancy at Discovery College (YMCA Plymouth), Honicknowle Lane, Plymouth

YMCA Plymouth currently requires

a teaching assistant

to work with students in its 'Discovery College'.

Part time 22.5 hours (Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday). Fixed Term Contract (one year) - can be extended or made permanent

This post is within school hours and is a term time only post. A 6-month probationary period will apply.

The part time salary is 14,286 per annum (Full time post 23,810 per annum).

The roles are an integral part of the College. The successful applicant will work both independently and under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff undertaking work/care/support to enable students' better access to learning and to assist the teacher in the management of students in the classroom. In addition, caring for the health needs and well-being of students whilst under their supervision.

The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check and two satisfactory references will also be required.
