Teaching Assistant
to provide
1:1 support
for a KS2 boy with
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
and
ADHD
. They are looking for someone to provide a consistent and positive role model for the child, and will have experience in behaviour support or SEMH/ADHD environments.

The Role
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:
Work closely with a child in KS2 with a diagnosis of
ADHD
and
SEMH needs
.
Provide consistent, calm support to help regulate behaviour and emotions.
Build a strong and trusting relationship, acting as a positive and reliable role model.
Recognise early signs of emotional dysregulation and support the child in taking appropriate breaks from the classroom.
Collaborate with the SENCO, class teacher, and external professionals to implement effective support strategies.
Encourage participation, independence, and confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience supporting children with
SEMH
,
ADHD
, or similar additional needs.
A calm, empathetic and resilient approach.
The ability to set firm and consistent boundaries in a nurturing way.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children.
