SEN Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a

dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant

to join our team, supporting pupils with

complex needs and challenging behaviours

. Working closely with teachers and specialists, you will play a key role in helping pupils feel safe, supported and ready to learn.

What You'll Be Doing

Support pupils with learning activities, adapting your approach to meet individual needs Encourage engagement, confidence and independence in learning Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development using trauma-informed approaches Help manage behaviour positively in line with school policies Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for all pupils Support pupils' emotional wellbeing with empathy, consistency and care Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of resources Support record-keeping and monitoring of pupil progress as directed Help maintain a clean, safe and well-organised learning environment

What We're Looking For

Experience supporting children or young people in an education or care setting Awareness of safeguarding, SEND and behaviour management Ability to work effectively under teacher guidance Strong communication and teamwork skills Patience, empathy, adaptability and a positive attitude Commitment to inclusion, pupil wellbeing and professional standards L3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
