WHO WE ARE?



Our Alternative Education Provision (AEP) at School of Coding & AI offers a distinctive, student-centered learning environment designed to support young people who benefit from a tailored approach outside of traditional mainstream settings. Our school focuses on Coding, Computer Science, core subjects like GCSE English and Maths and essential functional skills to empower each learner on their unique journey.

As an accredited OCR Exam Centre, we enable students to complete GCSEs and A-Levels within a flexible and supportive setting that prioritises individual strengths, needs and aspirations. Our approach blends academic progress with emotional wellbeing, resilience and personalised support, including tailored interventions aligned with EHCPs and behaviour strategies.

We work collaboratively with students, families and external agencies to create an inclusive, nurturing space that promotes confidence, growth and lifelong learning. WHAT WILL YOUR DAY LOOK LIKE?



Lesson Delivery Support:

Assist the teacher with the preparation and delivery of well- structured, engaging daily lessons that meet individual learner needs within an alternative education setting.

Inclusion & Additional Needs:

Deliver tailored support for students with additional needs, ensuring interventions align with their EHCPs and individual requirements.

Pupil Progress & Engagement:

Monitor student engagement and learning outcomes, providing accurate feedback to support tailored planning and targeted intervention.

Positive Behaviour & Inclusion:

Foster a calm, inclusive learning environment by promoting positive behaviour, encouraging emotional regulation and addressing challenges in line with school policies.

Learning Community Engagement:

Build constructive, professional relationships with students, colleagues and families, contributing to a supportive and collaborative school culture.

Active Supervision:

Supervise students during lessons and breaks, promoting safety, positive behaviour and inclusion.

Holistic Support:

Provide additional assistance, such as administrative or resource-based support to ensure lessons and interventions are delivered effectively.

WHAT BACKGROUND DO I NEED TO HAVE?



GCSE Maths and English Level 2/C or above qualification is essential.

Willingness to work towards Level 1-3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

Previous UK school experience, supporting secondary or post 16 students is desirable.
