About Us

English Martyrs Catholic Primary School is looking for a Teaching Assistant and Midday Meals Supervisor to join our team to support the learning of our children. This person will be working to support pupils with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs), helping to implement the strategies outlined in the plan, promoting positive behaviour and fostering a supportive learning environment. Much of the role will include 1:1 work with children with complex special educational needs. This role also includes supervising the children at lunchtime and setting up/clearing away the dining area.

Job Details

Salary:

Teaching Assistant (NJC Grade 3 24,027 to 24,404 pro rata, 25 hours per week) and Midday Meals Supervisor role (NJC Grade 2 23,656 to 24,057 pro rata, 5 hours per week), term time only.

Contract Type: Temporary

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 8.40 a.m. - 3.15 p.m.

Location: English Martyrs Catholic Primary School, Derwent Drive, Worthing

Interviews: Thursday 17th July

has initiative and drive and some knowledge and understanding of SEND (an interest and / or experience in supporting children with Autistic Spectrum Condition or children with trauma difficulties would be a significant advantage)

will work with teachers and professionals to implement specific behaviour management strategies

with passes in GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above

is enthusiastic and innovative

has good interpersonal and communication skills

is nurturing and caring and will have high expectations of all pupils
