A passionate, experienced Teaching Assistant is required from January 2026 to support pupils and staff in the Infant and Junior Division.

Main Responsibilities

To work under the direction of the Principal of the Infant and Junior Division, the Vice-Principal (Academic and Operations) and Vice-Principal (Pastoral), Head of Key Stage One (Infant Department) and Heads of Section: EYFS, Heads of Year (Junior Department) and the Head of Learning Support; To engage and motivate pupils to learn and participate; To build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, treat them consistently, with respect and consideration, and be concerned for their development as learners; To support staff to inform the assessment of pupils; To maintain pupil records; To promote and support the inclusion of all pupils; To liaise with parents; To assist in the setting up and clearing away of all activities and indoor/outdoor equipment; To demonstrate and promote the positive values, attitudes and behaviour expected from the pupils in the setting; To work collaboratively with colleagues, knowing when to seek help and advice.


The role involves working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday from 9.30am - 5.30pm or 10.00am - 6.00pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, during term-time plus a minimum of 3 additional weeks outside of term-time, this period is reserved for colleagues to attend up to two open events over the course of the academic year as well as mutually agreed time allocated for set-up, planning and preparation time. during school holidays.


The full-time equivalent salary would be 26,008, the actual salary will be based on exact working pattern, e.g. depending if term-time only or on an all-year-round contract.


The option to work additional hours in our Holiday Club, King's Cubs, is available for all members of our staff. Hours of work can be varied to suit the needs of the club and will be within the core hours of the club (8:00am - 6:00pm). Our staff work on a shift basis during this time, which we find offers them flexibility over the holidays also.
