We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and committed senior member of professional services staff to join the Edinburgh Law School Student & Academic Services team as our Teaching Services Manager.

The Opportunity:

This senior role in our Student & Academic Services team will be responsible for leading and co-ordinating projects related to the delivery of taught programmes and courses across Edinburgh Law School. The post-holder will be required to provide leadership and management to four Senior Administrators and will have overall responsibility for delivery of all teaching administration in the Law School.

This post combines the need for excellent problem solving and prioritising skills alongside the ability to promote successful working relationships with students, colleagues and stakeholders. In doing so, the post-holder has an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the continued success of taught programmes at Edinburgh Law School.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • You have a degree or equivalent training plus relevant work experience, or a track record of administrative experience at a senior level in an HE environment.
  • You will have proven experience of both leading and managing teams and working collaboratively across boundaries in relation to service development.
  • You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly.
  • You will have advanced knowledge and experience of the current HE policy context in relation to learning and teaching issues and key themes across the sector.
  • You will be used to resolving complex problems and using your influencing skills to find a resolution
  • You will have a proven commitment to delivering a high standard, professional service to both students and colleagues alike.
