Responsibilities
Assist in delivering one-on-one or group tutoring sessions tailored to students' individual needs and learning styles
Assist in the development of customised lesson plans and educational materials to enhance understanding and engagement
Assess students' progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
Support students with homework, exam preparation, and skill development across various subjects
Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment that promotes confidence and motivation
Maintain clear communication with parents, guardians, or staff regarding student progress and areas for improvement
Uphold confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding policies when working with children or vulnerable learners
Qualifications
Proven experience in tutoring, teaching or working with children, ideally with children or students requiring special education support
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and patiently
Knowledge of educational best practices and curriculum standards across subject curriculum
Experience working with children, including those with special educational needs, is highly desirable
Organised, reliable, and committed to supporting student success
A recognised qualification in education or a related field is essential
Must be have a valid enhanced CRB/DBS certificate
Must have an A Level or higher in the subject they will be a teaching assistant in.* Applicants must be over 18*
