Tynedale Hospice at Home is a forward thinking, inclusive registered charity providing high quality, compassionate palliative and end of life nursing care and support to patients in their own home.
We employ a range of qualified and unqualified staff across nursing and therapy groups, with all our services offered free of charge.
We are looking for an individual with enthusiasm, initiative and a positive approach to work to join our Care Services as we introduce a brand new role into the organisation.
The Team Assistant post is designed to work alongside the wider Care service team, combining both administrative support and delegated nursing care to individuals with life limiting illness, in a timely and professional manner to ensure a seamless, efficient experience for the patient and their families
Main duties of the job
The Team Assistant will be responsible for directly supporting the Tynedale Hospice at Home Care Co-ordinators and Transport Co-ordinator with a range of delegated duties including hands on delivery of patient care, day to day administrative tasks and coordination of services and schedules as required to meet the needs of the service.
The duties will be carried out under the supervision and guidance of a registered nurse, however the post holder will be expected to work alone with access to professional advice and guidance when required.
The ability to communicate positively at all levels will be an essential attribute of the post holder, as well as a flexible self-confident approach to work.
You should possess excellent interpersonal skills and have experience working in a health or social care setting with NVQ Level 3 in health or social care setting / equivalent experience.
You must be a car owner/driver.
