The Channel Management team is responsible for constructing the overall shape of content schedule plans for all channels within the C4 Portfolio - from generating long term programme strategy to building the current schedule for transmission. The team ensures that schedules are compliant with Ofcom regulation as well as meeting editorial and commercial objectives. The department plays a critical role within the company and maintains key relationships across most departments including Commissioning, Content Management, Programme Acquisition, Marketing, Press, Research and Insight, Advertising Sales, Partnerships, Legal and Compliance, Programme Finance and Business Affairs.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
This team assistant is a vital member of the Steaming and Content team; working closely with the Director of Steaming and Content Strategy and providing the highest level of support across a range of areas.
This role will also manage the diary for the Head of Acquisitions and work closely with Head of Channel Strategy and Planning and Head of Streaming Strategy. This role will need to ensure that the Director of Steaming and Content Strategy and the Head of Acquisitions are well prepared for all meetings and engagements, as well as being responsible for the smooth running of key departmental operations and events.
In addition, this Team Assistant is the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide the highest level of administrative support to the Director of Steaming and Content Strategy and Head of Acquisitions, including inbox and diary management, travel arrangements, as well as processing of invoices and expenses
Act as gatekeeper for the Director of Steaming and Content Strategy and Head of Acquisitions, ensuring that all meeting and change requests are answered and correctly prioritised, and the days run to schedule.
Arrange and coordinate internal and external meetings, including scheduling, organising rooms, welcoming guests, printing documents, checking equipment and booking catering (if required).
Attending meetings and taking accurate minutes when required.
Prioritise the workload and schedule of the Director of Steaming and Content Strategy and Head of Acquisitions, in line with Commissioning strategic priorities and goals
First point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders.
Working with Team Co-ordinator and other Team Assistant to organise all events, including departmental sessions, away days, and social events.
Compose department-wide communications, with a well-defined tone and style.
Assist with creation and distribution of reports, presentations and project plans as required.
Prepare briefing notes in advance of all meetings after consulting with the relevant departments.
Work closely with Genre Assistants and Programme Coordinators across the Commissioning floor, acting as a main point of contact for any queries to ensure the smooth running of the department.
Work with HR to ensure smooth admin of confidential organisation items, such as staff changes, new joiners, and office space.
Submit and track expenses and invoices on the company systems.
Undertake all other reasonable administrative duties as needed.
Highly confidential correspondence management and phone call screening for Director of Steaming and Content Strategy and Head of Acquisitions.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in a demanding senior PA role, working with senior leaders.
A pro-active, well-prepared, flexible multi-tasker, with great time-management - always delivering high quality on time.
Great prioritisation & organisational skills, including the ability to understand the company strategy and convert that into an ability to prioritise workload & requests accordingly.
Ability to manage a busy and often changing diary.
Experience in creating presentations.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills, and the ability to apply different styles depending on the need.
A great networker, who understands culture and builds relationships easily, and can maintain excellent, collaborative working relationships even under challenging circumstances and timelines.
Works well under pressure.
Great Microsoft Office skills - Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word & Excel.
Complete discretion in managing confidential materials and issues.
Prior experience in TV is not essential, but the ideal candidate will have a passion for TV and Channel 4 programming.
Basic salary per annum starting from
27,125.00

Hybrid working
From September 2023, C4 has operated a 60/40 working pattern, equating to three office days per week.
