Team Co Ordinator (family And Children Services)

London, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Support the people who support our children and families

Behind every great social work team is a well-organised, dependable team coordinator. In this role, you'll be the go-to person who helps things run smoothly, giving our social work teams the space and structure they need to focus on what matters most: protecting and supporting vulnerable children and families.

Working Style:

You'll be based in the Borough for at least 4 days a week, playing a key role in serving the local community. Whether you're working on the frontline or behind the scenes, you'll be part of a dedicated team making a real difference to residents' lives.

What you'll be doing:

As a Team Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in supporting our frontline children's social work teams. From preparing meeting papers and drafting correspondence to minute-taking and keeping case files updated, you'll be involved in the detail that keeps our service running efficiently.

You'll regularly interact with families and professionals, whether welcoming people at reception or managing transport and accommodation bookings. You'll use your strong organisational skills to maintain accurate records that help our teams work with clarity and confidence.

You will minute complex meetings about child protection including a wide range of professionals, often arranged at short notice. You will support social workers with ensuring that timescales are met for their health assessments and dental appointments, so you will need to be able to manage a number of competing responsibilities.

You'll also be a proactive presence in the office - not just reacting to requests, but spotting what needs doing and finding ways to improve how we work. Your calm and professional approach, even in sensitive or pressured situations, will make you a trusted and valued member of the team.

What you'll bring

You're someone who takes pride in being organised, dependable and detail-focused. You'll have experience in administration or team support, ideally within a public service or similar environment. You're confident using IT systems and writing clear, professional communications.

We're looking for someone who's proactive, approachable and a natural problem-solver. You'll be comfortable meeting members of the public, showing empathy and professionalism in equal measure. You'll also be a team player - ready to step in, help out and support your colleagues wherever you're needed most.

If you've got a good eye for detail, the ability to juggle multiple tasks and a genuine interest in making a difference behind the scenes, we'd love to hear from you.
