Team Facilitator (Team Leader)

Thornliebank / Govan

39 hours per week (15 hours on shift support and 24 hours facilitative support managing team remotely)

Enable are looking for a Team Facilitator (Team Leader) to join our team in Thornliebank, East Renfrewshire to lead a team of Personal Assistants (Support Workers) for Isla\'s service.-

Isla loves spending time at home, watching her favourite programmes on STV and films, especially any with Colin Firth or Hugh Grant. A fan of the Royal Family, Isla loves to keep up to date on all things royal and is especially looking forward to the King\'s coronation!

Isla also enjoys, on the odd occasion, social activities out with the home however recently this has caused heightened anxiety for Isla and must be planned and managed very well by her staff team. Isla benefits from structure and routine and likes to have a flow to her day and her team members will be committed to maintaining this. Part of your role as Team Facilitator (Team Leader) will be to review and develop support strategies for Isla as well as create and maintain new ones as you get to know her and as her confidence begins to build with her new team.

To lead Isla\'s team successfully, you will be will be an enthusiastic and hands on leader with a good understanding of Positive Behaviour Support strategies and understands the challenges that comes with supporting individuals with complex needs. You will be a resilient person and ideally share some similar interests with Isla.

It is essential you are an effective communicator with a calm demeanour, methodical approach and a can do attitude.

About You

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience working with adults and/or children with complex support needs including learning disabilities, epilepsy, autism and physical support needs.
  • Experience in using person centred planning techniques in addition to delivering and leading excellent support practices.
  • Strong facilitation skills to encourage staff teams to take ownership and responsibility for the quality of support they deliver.
  • The ability to effectively communicate with the people we support, staff teams, families and external care professionals.
  • Creating and delivering robust service designs, support strategies and risk assessments whilst managing individual budgets.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload whilst working under pressure.
  • SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Full driving licence with access to your own vehicle for business use.
