We are looking for Band 6 nurse to join one of our Community Nursing teams based at Trinity House in Ashford, Kent. The service operates seven days a week from 8am - 6pm. These extended working hours allows more flexible working for anyone looking for more flexible hours. Weekend working is generally on a 1:4 ratio with days off during the week.
There are two teams supporting patients registered with GP practices working in the Ashford area and surrounding villages within the Ashford Primary Care Network.
Each team has two senior nurses who to take responsibility for a defined geographical area, and provide clinical leadership to their Band 5, Band 4 and Band 3 staff. The team will work together to manage caseload patients delivering a high-quality service. Candidates will be expected to be experienced nurses with relevant transferrable clinical skills.
Staff will be required to drive their own car and are able to claim mileage costs and access the NHS car lease provision, following their probationary period.
Successful applicants are required to have the qualification level specified in the person specification in order to carry out the job, however, we do welcome applicants from individuals wishing to further their knowledge and skills and to gain this recognised qualification, which we will support. Therefore, if you do not have the essential qualification for the role, this may not be an automatic barrier to you being offered an interview.
If you are successful at interview but do not have the essential qualification for the role, we will employ you as trainee and will support you to gain this qualification. You will develop new skills and knowledge whilst working with an established team, gaining valuable work experience and continuing to get paid. Once you receive the qualification you will automatically move into the position advertised.
