Role summary



Working as part of a team you will support the Senior Management Team in ensuring services exceed quality and professional standards at all times. This role will be responsible for mentoring, managing and training a team of learning and senior support workers within JigsawPlus, to provide support to our autistic young adults in the attainment of knowledge and skills that will enhance their wellbeing, independence and social inclusion.

Supervision, consultation and Continuous Education Units (CEUs) necessary to obtain and maintain professional qualifications (e.g., BCBA or UKBA Cert) Reimbursement of the costs of maintaining professional qualifications Highly supported CPD programme including training and qualifications in Safeguarding, First Aid, Behaviour Management, Leadership and much more!

How will you make a difference to our learners and contribute to the Support Team?



Lead a team of Learning Support Workers and Senior Support Workers to provide behaviour analytic-based support to adult learners, ensuring their individual needs are met through effective person-centred planning and review Update learners' personal risk assessments as and when required Line manage designated mentees, marking their study and setting related targets Support learners' participation in social, leisure, educational and employment opportunities in the local community Once trained, administer medication in accordance with company policies and procedures Develop knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and associated disabilities by participating in relevant training to achieve required qualifications Run and minute weekly team meetings ensuring actions are appropriately followed-up Support The ABA Consultants and the Operations Manager with both induction and in-situ training

In collaboration with the ABA Consultant.........



Review and implement changes to learner programmes and behaviour support plans Create, update and provide care and support from individual learning plans, personal plans and curriculum folders -Collect, record and analyse data on the learning programmes and behaviour guidelines Prepare for and lead learner and staff reviews, implementing actions accordingly

What qualifications, skills and experience do I need to demonstrate?



Either a Masters in Applied Behaviour Analysis or certified as CABAS Teacher 1 rank is essential (If not certified CABAS Teacher I rank, a commitment to completing Teaching Assistant rank during probationary period and to completion of CABAS Teacher I rank within 18 months of date of employment will be required) Experience of Delivering ABA programmes is essential with additional experience in designing or developing ABA programmes desirable Proven experience of working with autistic adults within an educational or social care setting Line management experience including delivering training and mentoring and managing staff Experience of working with behaviours that challenge and providing personal care when required Ability to work independently 1:1 out in the community Completed Care Certificate (or commitment to complete within probationary period)
