Role Purpose
As the
Team Leader
(TL)
, you will play a pivotal role in leading our for 15 adults with learning disabilities (including autism, Asperger's, and physical health needs). Your mission is to ensure the team delivers exceptional, person-centered support that empowers individuals to lead fulfilling lives, achieve their goals, and build meaningful connections within their community.
You will combine
hands-on leadership
with strategic oversight--mentoring staff, driving quality, and fostering a culture of
innovation, empathy, and accountability
. This role is ideal for someone passionate about

Key Responsibilities
1. Person-Centred Leadership & Service Delivery
Build transformative relationships
with individuals we support, families, and professionals--understanding their strengths, challenges, and aspirations.
Develop and implement bespoke support plans
using person-centred tools (e.g., circles of support, goal tracking).
Champion choice and control
: Enable autonomy in daily tasks (e.g., communication, finances, community engagement) while providing respectful assistance.
Advocate fiercely*: Ensure voices are heard in decisions--whether with professionals, in the community, or within the team.
2. Team Development & Performance
Lead by example
: Model outstanding practice in autism support, positive risk-taking, and low-arousal approaches.
: Match staff to activities based on individual needs and team strengths.
Uphold standards
: Audit care plans, finances, and safety measures (CQC/regulatory compliance).
3. Operational Excellence
Collaborate with the Manager
on risk assessments, policies, and service development.
Balance safety and innovation
: Support individuals to explore new experiences while mitigating risks.
Liaise with multi-agency partners
(e.g., social workers, health professionals) to align support.
Use IT systems
for admin, reporting, and clear communication (Microsoft Office, care records).
4. Safeguarding & Compliance
Prioritise wellbeing
: Follow safeguarding protocols, report concerns promptly, and ensure dignity in personal care.
Maintain meticulous records
: Track progress, health changes, and incidents with accuracy and respect.
Drive continuous improvement
: Identify training needs (e.g., GDPR, Health & Safety) and implement best practices.
