Duties

Oversee daily operations within the kitchen or service area, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety regulations. Supervise and manage team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their culinary skills and customer service abilities. Assist in food preparation and cooking, demonstrating culinary techniques to staff as needed. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen or dining area. Ensure that all food production meets quality standards and is presented attractively. Train new staff on operational procedures, food safety practices, and customer service expectations. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring a positive dining experience. Collaborate with management to develop menus and special offerings that align with customer preferences.

Qualifications

Proven supervisory experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential. Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary techniques. Experience in team management, with the ability to motivate and inspire others. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production. Previous experience in a kitchen environment is required; hotel or barista experience is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
