About the role

As Team Leader (Building Control), you'll use your expertise in building regulations to help guide a high-performing team, support service delivery, and help shape the future of our Building Control Service.

Essential criteria for the role

Registered as Class 2D/Class 4 (minimum), ideally Class 2F/Class 4 Building Inspector Full membership of RICS, CABE or equivalent professional body Valid UK driving licence

Key responsibilities for the role

Manage and mentor team members to ensure all work carried out is compliant to building regulations and other relevant legislation Assess and determine applications under building regulations and associated legislation Conduct site inspections to ensure regulatory compliance Maintain accurate records using the service's digital systems Provide professional guidance and advice to applicants, agents, councillors and stakeholders
