Are you an experienced residential childcare practitioner ready to take the next step into leadership?
We are seeking a dedicated
Team Leader
to support our care team in delivering outstanding, child-centred practice within our therapeutic children's home for children aged 8-17 who have experienced trauma and adversity.
The Role:
As a Residential Team Leader, you will:
Lead and support a team of Residential Support Workers to provide consistent, therapeutic care.
Act as shift leader, ensuring routines, activities, and safeguarding practices are followed to the highest standards.
Contribute to care planning and risk assessments in partnership with the management team.
Role-model trauma-informed approaches (PACE, NVR - training provided).
Ensure accurate record-keeping, incident reporting, and compliance with Children's Homes Regulations.
Provide reflective supervision, mentoring, and support to staff on shift.
We're Looking For:
Essential:
Previous experience in a children's residential home.
NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Strong safeguarding knowledge and ability to lead on shift.
Emotional resilience, reflective skills, and the ability to model therapeutic approaches.
A commitment to providing nurturing, consistent care in line with our values.
Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins/waking nights as required.
