Job Title: Team Leader - Children's Residential Home

32,000 - 35,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Full-Time, Permanent

Hours:

40 hours per week (shift patterns including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins)

The Role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced

Team Leader

to support and motivate our care team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, child-centred care. As a Team Leader, you will play a vital role in leading shifts, mentoring staff, and contributing to the smooth running of the home.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and motivate the care team during shifts Support staff development and performance Deliver personalised care to children and young people, ensuring their safety and wellbeing Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and reporting Maintain compliance with safeguarding policies and Ofsted standards Liaise with families, social workers, and other professionals Assist with rota planning and shift handovers Promote a positive and inclusive home environment
Requirements

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - Essential Previous experience working in a children's residential setting Experience in a leadership or senior support role preferred Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection Excellent communication, organisational, and team-working skills A compassionate and patient approach with a genuine passion for supporting young people Full UK driving licence desirable but not essential
