Your Purpose and Role as Team Leader



Working closely with the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager, you'll play a vital role in leading our team and supporting the young people in our care. Every day is an opportunity to build trust, advocate for young people, and ensure they feel safe, valued, and supported.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead and support the staff team to deliver high-quality care and create a nurturing, positive environment. Actively promote and safeguard the welfare of young people--placing their needs at the heart of everything you do. Assist in achieving the aims and objectives outlined in our Statement of Purpose. Step up as a leader by deputizing in the absence of the Deputy and Registered Manager. Provide direct support to young people, helping them build confidence, skills, and self-esteem, while being approachable and relatable. Take responsibility for managing child protection concerns and complaints with professionalism and care. Work collaboratively with other professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes. Ensure resources are allocated effectively, and financial and operational records are maintained accurately.

Person Specification:



A good standard of literacy and numeracy. NVQ 3 / Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent). Residential childcare experience. Strong team-building and supervision skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Emotional intelligence and resilience to handle challenges effectively. Good organizational and time management skills.
