We are seeking a passionate and experienced
Team Leader
to join one of our children's services. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with leadership experience in care settings who is committed to making a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership Duties
Lead and mentor a team of Support Workers, acting as a positive role model.
Manage staff rotas and oversee daily operations of the care home.
Allocate tasks, assess performance, and provide feedback.
Conduct supervisions and return-to-work interviews.
Deputise for the Care Home Manager when required.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Care & Support Duties
Deliver personal care and practical support in line with individual care plans.
Promote independence, dignity, and choice.
Respond to behaviours of concern and seek proactive solutions.
Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
Administer medication safely and accurately.
Maintain and review care plans, risk assessments, and documentation.
General Duties
Keep accurate records.
Attend training, meetings, and contribute to company strategy events.
Uphold the company's ethos and values at all times.

Person Specification
Essential
QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) and willingness to work towards Level 5
Minimum 2 years' experience in a care home setting
Experience in a supervisory role and mentoring staff
Experience working with children/young adults with learning disabilities, autism, and/or mental health challenges
Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
Physically fit and at least 21 years of age
Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and overnight duties
Full UK driving licence
Desirable
QCF/NVQ Level 5
IOSH Managing/Leading Safely qualification
Experience managing rotas and audits
Familiarity with Boots medication systems
