Wing Yip is the UK's leading Oriental food retailer, proudly serving both trade and public customers. With over 50 years of successful trading, we operate from four locations--including our recently refurbished store in Nechells--and employ approximately 300 team members. As our business continues to grow, we are recruiting for various roles within our expanding team.

About the Job


This is a full-time position based on a 40-hour contract. You will be required to work 5 out of 7 days per week, and full flexibility is essential.

Role Overview


As a key member of the team, you'll work alongside colleagues and managers to support the daily operations of the store. You'll be encouraged to assess current practices and suggest improvements that can drive performance and efficiency. The role also involves delivering exceptional customer service and providing supervisory support across both the shop floor and warehouse.

Customer Service



Deliver strong leadership and outstanding customer service Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally Ensure team members maintain a professional appearance in line with company standards

Merchandising



Ensure all product pricing is clear, legally compliant, and regularly updated Monitor stock levels and carry out daily checks on rotation and storage practices

Training & Development



Support and promote staff development within your department Assist in the onboarding and training of new employees Help ensure team members complete all required E-Assessments

Skills, Experience & Knowledge Required



Prior supervisory experience is preferred Strong organisational and time management abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Ability to motivate and lead a team while upholding company values

Additional Responsibilities



Adhere to food safety and chill chain procedures Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the store Ensure accuracy in stock control and inventory processes Promote and maintain a safe working environment, complying with all health and safety regulations Support other departments as needed Complete any other reasonable tasks as required by the role or management
