Vacancy - The Weald Sports Centre

Team Leader (Full-Time 40hr).

The Weald Sports Centre is a multi-purpose Leisure Centre with Sports Halls, Dance Studios, a Fitness Gym, Swimming Pool and Tennis Courts.

The Weald Sports Centre's Team Leaders ensure each shift goes off without a hitch. As Team Leader, you will be developed to provide management coverage across all aspects of the centre, jumping in wherever needed and ensuring customers are happy. You'll also ensure team members are deployed to the right places and communicated with regularly.

Other responsibilities of this role include (but are not limited to):

Be the Duty Manager on shift. Ensuring a welcoming front-of-house presence is delivered at all times Assuming responsibility for centre operations on a shift rotation basis, including key holding, opening and/or closing the centre Coordinating the efficient and effective deployment of the team Undertaking fitness instruction, reception, pool supervision and /or membership sales, as required Cash reconciliation and banking duties Assisting in the development and management of a well-balanced activity and event programme Delivering induction, training, appraisals, development and performance management of staff where required Conducting team briefings (Huddles) Establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with our customers and potential customers We can provide free training for the necessary qualifications. The Shifts include earlies/lates and some weekends.
Previous supervisory/management experience in a Leisure/Gym environment is preferable. You will also be required to pass a lifeguard qualification (candidates who do not have the NPLQ will need to complete a pool test), Pool Plant Operators and FAW.

The position is the primary key holder and must open/close the build on shift.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 26,166.40 per year
