The Role

We are looking for a motivated and experienced senior practitioner to join our team to lead our 0-3 area. Must have experience of curriculum for 0 -3 years and how to lead improvement and teams.

Qualities

Should show leadership qualities, knowledge of health and safety, good communication skills and a caring approach to staff, children and parents. Experience in delivering Curriculum for Excellence and Pre-Birth to Three is required and a working knowledge of Realising the Ambition and GIRFEC. You should have a passion for the early years, strong organisational skills and the ability to effectively communicate with children, parents and staff.

Qualifications

Must have SVQ3, HNC in childcare or equivalent and have or be willing to undertake SVQ4 or PDA Successful candidates will be required to become a member of SSSC and PVG Scheme.

Responsibilities of the job include:

Leading and supporting a small team to ensure the wellbeing of young children. Maintaining and enhancing a safe, nurturing and engaging environment enabling young children to develop and achieve at their own pace. Manage the 0-3 area ensuring high standard, supervising and supporting the staff who deliver this service in their day-to-day duties. Planning, observing, assessing and tracking children's learning, ensuring that their needs and those of their families are met. Liaising with Parents and other family members. Contributing to quality assurance and self evaluation. Adhering to policies and regulatory guidance. Chair room meetings.
