Team Leader - Field Services
The Role
Are you a confident leader with a hands-on approach and a passion for people and the planet? We're looking for a dedicated Team Leader to join our Field Services department in Coventry. This is your opportunity to step into a pivotal role, guiding a team of Sampling Technicians who carry out essential environmental monitoring and sampling for our key clients.
Hours Per Week: 37
Days Per Week: Monday to Friday (including standby rota for weekends and bank holidays)
Contract: Full Time and Permanent

The day to day
Leading, motivating and managing a team of field-based Sampling Technicians
Ensuring high standards in Health & Safety, quality assurance, and team performance
Providing hands-on support by undertaking commercial sampling duties when needed, including potable water, ground water, surface water, trade effluent and gas.
Planning rotas, coordinating workloads and ensuring efficient use of time and resources
Liaising closely with Field Services Project Managers to ensure sampling targets are met
Overseeing the maintenance and proper use of vehicles, field equipment and PPE
Supporting staff development through regular audits, feedback, and performance reviews
The Essentials
Proven experience managing and motivating a team
Strong organisational and communication skills
A proactive, professional attitude with the ability to work under pressure
Physically fit and willing to work outdoors in all weathers
Competent in IT and digital systems
Able to travel across the UK as required
Full clean UK driving licence
A minimum of HNC/HND or equivalent field experience
Working knowledge of Health & Safety and Quality Management systems
