Are you ready to take your leadership skills to new heights in the aerospace industry? Safran Landing Systems, a global leader in aircraft landing gear and systems, is seeking a dynamic Team Leader to join our innovative team!
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:
Lead day-to-day performance, including achievement of agreed customer KPIs and other internal KPIs (eg. safety, operational, employee related etc.)
Participate and conduct Gemba Walks to identify areas for improvement
To directly assist management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area
To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence
To track and trace orders using a digital in-house tracking software system, ensuring that records are maintained and kept at optimum level
Participate in customer, regulatory and internal operational audits as required and work with the team to implement the agreed action plan
Report and investigate incidents within the work place and respond to or escalate issues of non compliance to safety regulations and procedures
Participates in regular operation reviews and conducts regular colleague briefings via the use of Performance Dialogue boards and regular briefings
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
We'd love to hear from you if you have the following experience;
Previous experience as a Team Leader or similar within an operational environment
Counter Balance forklift license is essential
Project management experience would be desirable, due to project management responsibilities
Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices
Previous experience of preparation and distribution of volume orders
Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports
