Network Rail High Speed Ltd. (NRHS) is responsible for operating and maintaining the UK's only international high-speed railway, High Speed (HS1).
The 109km HS1 infrastructure consists of a diverse range of railway assets such as the track, signalling, overhead line, lineside buildings, depots, viaducts and long tunnels. NRHS is also responsible for operating and maintaining three international stations; St Pancras, Ebbsfleet and Stratford International.
As a wholly owned subsidiary of Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd, NRHS is privately financed under an agreement with our client 'HS1 Ltd', undertaking a diverse range of activities from railway infrastructure maintenance and operations - through to station facilities management and retail on behalf of our client.

The role
An opportunity to work in the Signalling team on a unique set of assets that are bespoke to the only high speed line in the country. If you like a challenge and learning new skills. This is an opportunity to apply your skill set to something new!
We are excited to be introducing an additional Team Leader into our Signalling Team
Excellent communication skills, both in person and in writing
Knowledge of discipline specific maintenance, inspection, faulting and renewal techniques
Knowledge of relevant standards procedures and instructions.
A clear and inspirational leader with a strong sense of direction

About the role (External)
The person
So, who are we looking for?
We'll look to you to direct, organise and motivate a high performing team. From inspection and faulting through to maintenance and renewal, you'll play a hands-on role. You'll make sure everything is done efficiently and to the highest standards. Safety will be a priority. You'll establish appropriate safety arrangements and make sure Network Rail staff and contractors alike follow safe systems of work. Proactively controlling and checking the quality of work and the competence of your people, you'll see to it that assets are fully compliant and all vehicles, plant, tools, equipment and materials are fit for purpose. Along the way, you'll compile a range of vital reports.

Do you have experience ...........
Hold either an NVQ Level 3 and City & Guilds, or an ONC/HNC
Have several years of experience working in either maintenance or installation.
Experience of organising and controlling the safe and efficient delivery of work
Experience developing others
Have a full driving licence, to drive vehicles as required by the business?
Experience of organising and controlling the safe and efficient delivery of work
Excellent communication skills, both in person and in writing
Knowledge of discipline-specific maintenance, inspection, faulting and renewal techniques
Knowledge of relevant standards, procedures and instructions
A clear and inspirational leader with a strong sense of direction
Hold Safety Critical Competencies COSS CRP and PC
Hold Tr04 and Tr11 Competence
Hold or be working towards an NVQ level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject or have attained the appropriate level of knowledge gained through equivalent relevant experience
Able and willing to drive vehicles as required by business need,
this may also include driving vehicles up to 7.5t and a requirement to upgrade their driving licence by undertaking additional training
The important stuff
The role is based at Singlewell, however frequent travel to our other office and site locations along the High Speed line is expected.

Grade
: Maintenance Grade-
52,474 (plus outer London allowance of 1,940)
